2002 Fall Cottage Special

We now have for sale a versatile little building in the French-Canadian piece-en-piece style of construction. Instead of our usual notched corners, this style uses round-log posts at the corners and at intervals throughout the wall. The hip roof ties the walls together and gives a good overhang on all sides. Overall, it makes for a handsome, low profile building. The photograph is of a similar building built in the same style.

At this time, we have the 8' log wall sections completed, but they won't be put together until it arrives at your foundation. This means that we can modify the final design in several ways to suit your needs and site. The plan below shows a good example of what can be built. The 8' log wall sections are combined with large window openings to expand the overall size on the 32' walls. A roofed-in porch can also be added.

As usual, we will clean, sand and finish the wall logs, deliver it to your site and re-erect it there. Our price for this, within 60 km. of our worksite in Margaretsville is $25,000.00 (HST not included). Roof trusses and windows and doors are not included, but we can provide them if requested. Contact us soon for more details and to discuss your needs.
